Interior Paint

So, your thinking about painting the interior of your home but unsure if your contractor will safely protect your items? At Sharper Edge Painting we pay very high attention to the prep work! Prep work should always be done prior to any paints being applied to the home. Whether we are painting one door, or a full interior there will always be prep work to do! With over 100 years of combined experience on our team, we understand how important it is to not only provide a custom paint job, but also protect your home and personal belongings in the process.  

Prior to painting, we have no problem helping to move your furniture away from walls. To help us prepare more efficiently, and ensure the best results, we recommend cleaning and vacuuming prior to our arrival, thus helping our tape adhere better during prep. We also recommend removing any wall hangings/pictures from the walls that we will not be putting back up. Those nail holes will be filled during the painting process. If there are any items you will be putting back on the walls, leave it hanging and we will make sure not to fill that hole, making it easier for you to put everything back in it's rightful place when we're done.

We take great pride in making sure our customers are completely satisfied with the finished product! A full interior paint typically takes about a week (Monday through Friday). Being present during the painting process is completely safe, as all products we use are low to no VOC, meaning they are non toxic and safe to be around.

During a full interior paint, we start by carefully covering all floors, fixtures, outlets, countertops, cabinets, and any other items not being painted in the area we are working. We will then repair any nail holes and begin any needed drywall repairs.

Next, we begin prepping all doors, baseboards, closets, pantries, and linen closets. These are then sprayed with two coats of your chosen color and finish. We recommend using a semi-gloss finish.

Ceilings are then sprayed in your selected color and finish. We recommend a flat finish.

Walls are brushed and rolled with two coats of your selected color and finish. We recommend an eggshell finish.

Just as important as prep work, is the clean up. We take care to remove all trash and debris from the project. We then walk through the house with you to ensure your complete satisfaction and address any necessary touch ups you may request.
