We take great pride in making sure our customers are completely satisfied with the finished product, while making the process as simple as possible for you. Prior to our arrival, you do not need to remove anything from the drawers or cabinets. The cabinet refinishing process typically takes a week, beginning on a Monday. If you are adding new handles/hardware, we request that you provide those to us at this time. We will start by numbering all cabinet doors and drawer fronts to ensure they are put back in their original location. We will then remove the cabinet doors and drawer fronts, including cabinet door hinges. Hinges will be stored until we return to reinstall doors and drawers at the end of this week. 

Cabinet doors and drawer fronts are taken to our offsite location where we will begin the painting process. We will sand the prior clear coat off, as well as any blemishes. A primer and two coats of solid lacquer color or stain, in your chosen color, is applied to all cabinet doors and drawer fronts. We will then apply two coats of clear satin lacquer as a final finish. 

We typically return the Friday or Saturday that same week to complete the cabinet boxes. You will not have access to the area the cabinets are in on this day. If possible, we recommend that you are not present in the home on this day as the products used to refinish cabinets are dangerous to inhale. However, we take all safety precautions possible. This includes us taping off all surrounding floors, appliances, walls and fixtures, as well as creating a ventilated spray booth that will transfer fumes outside. Cabinet boxes are then sprayed using the same process as the cabinet doors and drawer fronts. Finished cabinet doors and drawer fronts are then reinstalled.

Our final step is clean up. We take care to remove all trash and debris from the project. We then walk through the completed areas with you to ensure your complete satisfaction and address any necessary touch ups you may request.
